Hanna Halaburda

Hanna Halaburda is a professor at New York University Stern School of Business in Information Operations and Management Sciences. Her research and thinking focus more specifically on the strategic dimensions of the evolution of digital currencies and blockchain technologies. Her work has been published in Management Science, American Economic Journal, Games, Economic Behavior, and by the RAND Corporation,  among other academic journals. She is the author (with Miklos Sarvary) of Beyond Bitcoin: The Economics of Digital Currency (Palgrave, 2016). Prior to joining NYU Stern School, Professor Halaburda was an Assistant Professor at Harvard Business School, and a Senior Economist at the Bank of Canada. She holds Masters degrees in economics from the Warsaw School of Economics and in philosophy from Warsaw University, and a PhD in economics from Northwestern University.
