Daniel Kahneman
Daniel Kahneman is Professor of Psychology and Public Affairs Emeritus at the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs, the Eugene Higgins Professor of Psychology Emeritus at Princeton University, and a Fellow of the Center for Rationality at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. He is particularly noted for his work on the psychology of judgment and decision-making, as well as behavioral economics, a field of which he is considered to be a founder. He was awarded the 2002 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences for his work on integrating cognitive psychology into economics, and on decision-making under uncertainty. He is the author of the popular Thinking, fast and slow. He was awarded the U.S. Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2013. His collaboration and friendship with Amos Tversky was the subject of Michael Lewis’s 2016 bestseller, The Undoing Project.
